It’s the rise of the terrible writer… You are in the Money Coding blog. Here you will find how terrible writer I am. This is a personal blog so it’s not new to you and you may not find it interesting, but, I will try my best that you can at least learn a little out from this blog. Give me at least 6 months my friend. This blog is about myself (now you started disliking more, I knew it). Ironically speaking, I built this to showcase my English writing skills (your disliking even more, right?), grammar and vocabulary by sharing my experiences that I’m about to undergo before I will become a successful human.

It is not my goal to become a better writer/author by profession but I believe that I need to have an average of this skill because it is through words – spoken or not – that I can easily influence others. You use words to apply for a job; you use words even when you are the boss; you use words to motivate your members if you are the leader. At this point in time, as you read, my writings are not good. So I’m asking you to please give feedbacks and corrections. I will really appreciate it. Join me as I’m on the road of finding who and what I wanna become, who will I marry (lol), how will I make money, how will I become an entrepreneur, etc.

So bookmark this blog, email to a friend/colleague or add our RSS feed, and let’s start the ball rolling. And of course, I’d love getting your feedback on everything in this blog — and what you want to see discussed in the future.

To know more about me and this blog, click Here.

Restrict Startup Processes from Loading When Windows Start

Do you want a certain process not to load on startup? Then this tip is right for you.

Usually the reason why you don’t want this to run during Windows start is because you find it not important. Furthermore, this program(s) eats a lot of CPU bandwidth.

There are many ways to do this. You can use Registry Editor (regedit) or System Configuration Utility (msconfig) or even Services (services.msc). In this article we will use the System Configuration Utility to get rid of a certain program from running on startup. Below are the steps how:

Open System Configuration Utility by using RUN command and typing there msconfig.

In the Services and / or Startup tab, you can uncheck the programs / applications that you don’t need to be loaded during windows startup.

Just make sure that you don’t really need the program and it will not affect your entire system. Anyway, you can undo/revert the changes by opening msconfig again and check those needed programs.

that’s it.

Locking Folder Without Using Any Software

This is just a trick to make the characteristic of your folder locked. Not really "locked" but "like locked". What I mean that this is not really locking your folder instead it is just a trick that the status of your folder looks like it is locked because this cannot be opened easily. This is makes your folder inaccessible.
The trick is to make your folder become a special file by adding extensions on it. This makes your folder not accessible.

Here's the step how to lock your folder without having any software:

Create a new folder or if you if you have an existing folder already then you can use it.

Add this code right after your folder name
.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
For example: "FolderName.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" and you'll be amazed with the result if the this is your first time doing it. The icon of your folder should changed you did it right.

With this extension, double clicking your folder will redirect you not directly to the contents of the folder.

Note: To access your folder just remove the extension you've added earlier.

and that was Locking Folder Without Using Any Software
and that was Making you Folder Not Accessible for Some who don't know this.

That's it.

Show Hidden Folder Using Command Prompt or Folder Options

Did you lost your files after virus attacks? the folder or files are missing but when you look at the free space of your drive it still similar? it means that the files or folders still there but it is hidden. Because some virus characteristics will hide files or folders while showing you the "NOT" real file which pretend to be your file or folder by copying the folder or file icon.

To solve this problem, let us get the super hidden out. Here's the step how:

The easiest way to show hidden files and folders is to use the Folder Options. But some virus aren't that dumb. Most viruses will disable the access to Folder Options. But don't lost hope dude because another way to recover this is using the Command Prompt. In this tip, I will give you the two(2) ways on how to Show Super Hidden Files and Folders.

Showing Hidden files and folders using folder options:

Open My Computer

In the Tools menu, click Folder Options. (folder options dialog box will popup)

From the dialog box, choose View tab.

Under Advance Settings box, make sure that the the Show Hidden Files and Folders option is Selected. And Hide Protected Operating System Files checkbox is unchecked.

Click Apply. Press OK after all.

that's it.

How to show super hidden files and folders using command prompt?

Choose Start menu then click Run command.

In the Run command, type cmd then press OK. (the command prompt will show)

Go to the drive where the files or folder are hidden. Like for example if you want to show all the files and folder in drive D then type d: and press enter.

type
attrib -h -s /s /d
where : * -h is hidden (we use minus sign to remove it) * -s is system * /s means process all files in the directory (recursive) * /d means process directory/folder as well if you have lots of files it might take a few moment to finish. just wait and your files will be back.

In some cases you want to hide a specific folder in your own like when you want to hide a specific folder in drive D e.g. d:\FolderName so that it will be hard for other users to locate your private files then simply type

attrib +s +h D:\FolderName
that's it.

Adjust Windows Theme for Best Performance

I know this tip is common to many sites. But for those who don't know on how to adjust windows theme for best performance then the steps below will get you through it. The trick is to turn your windows theme to classic view where animations and other not important things are disregarded.
How to adjust windows theme for best performance? here is the steps how:

Right click My Computer icon in the desktop and then click Properties. You can also do it using the shortcut Windows+Break. But in some other way some desktop users find it useful for it looks clean and adds at least free space in you taskbar. Furthermore some administrators use this trick to make other users in thier internet cafe cannot control the programs running in the system tray like disallowing them to not kill the running anti-virus or softwares use for remote desktop like PC Anywhere and LogMeIn. So here's the steps:

Open Registry Editor by typing "regedit" in the RUN command.

Locate this in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer

Find the key(REG_DWORD) named NoTrayItemsDisplay

Right click and choose Modify and be sure that the Value Data is set to zero(0) to make the system tray icons invisible in your taskbar while Value Data one(1) to make system tray icons visible.

Restart you computer for the changes to take effect. Or if you want it to take effect immediately without restarting then follow these steps:

Open Task Manager(pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE)

Under process tab find Explorer.exe running process and then click End Process. If a message prompts if you are sure that you want to end the program then click Yes. (don't be shock that the taskbar will disappear)

Now click File menu and choose New Task(RUN).

Enter "explorer" in the text box and press OK. The taskbar will show again but without the visibility of the system icons.

That's it, go try...

speed up, tune up, boost then we're good to go - abz'

Boost up Internet Connection speed for 20 percent

Most of us does not know that windows reserves 20 percent(%) internet connection bandwidth for its updates and some services that requires connection online. The question is, " how to get the 20 percent(%) reserve internet bandwidth to use this for my daily web/internet browsing? ". And that is not a problem. All we need is to do some little hacking and here is how:

In the RUN command type "gpedit.msc". (note: you must have an administrative privilege to do this)

Under Local Computer Policy, go to Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Network then QOS Packet Scheduler.

In the Setting List (in the left), select Limit Reservable Bandwidth. And for you to be aware of what is it, have time to read the description beside (under Extended tab) which says:
Determines the percentage of connection bandwidth that the system can reserve. This value limits the combinded bandwidth reservations of all programs running on the system. and so on... If you enable this setting you can use the 'Bandwidth Limit' box to adjust the amount of bandwidth the system can reserve.

Double click Limit Reservable Bandwidth, choose Enabled. Set the Bandwidth Limit to how much you want. You can event set it to zero(0).

Now surf the web and feel the speed.

speed up, tune up, boost then we're good to go - abz'
